Te mapa
Zacatlán sits high in the Sierra Norte de Puebla, and its map is shaped by the dramatic edge of the Barranca de los Jilgueros, a deep ravine running along one side of the town. The streets form a compact grid around the central plaza, then break off abruptly where the land drops away. Wooded slopes and winding mountain roads surround the settlement.
Known as Zacatlán de las Manzanas, the town is famous for its apples and cider and is one of Mexico's Pueblos Mágicos. It also has a long tradition of clockmaking, with a large floral clock in the main square as its best-known image. The Franciscan convent in the centre is one of the oldest in the Americas.
A Zacatlán map poster combines the order of a colonial plaza with the raw shape of the mountain landscape. The ravine cuts a strong, irregular line through the design, and the surrounding roads curve with the contours. It is a place where geography sets the limits of the town very visibly on paper.
The deep ravine running beside the town forms a dramatic natural boundary, stopping the street grid abruptly and giving the map its most recognisable shape.
The main square, with its floral clock and the nearby Franciscan convent, sits at the heart of the grid and anchors the entire historic centre.
Outside the centre, roads wind through wooded slopes of the Sierra Norte, drawing curved lines that follow the terrain rather than any grid.

Koteā ko Zacatlán
Zacatlán is a place people return to for apple season, cool mountain air and the view over the ravine, and a map of its streets holds that memory of the highlands in a simple frame.
