Te mapa
Zahlé lies where the eastern slopes of Mount Lebanon meet the Bekaa Valley. On a map the town has two distinct parts. The older quarters climb the narrow valley of the Berdawni River, with winding streets that follow the steep contours. Below, the newer districts spread out onto the flat, farmed plain.
Zahlé is often called the Bride of the Bekaa. It is known for its riverside restaurants along the Berdawni and for its long tradition of wine and arak production, and some of Lebanon's best-known wineries are nearby. It is also one of the largest predominantly Christian towns in the Middle East.
A Zahlé map poster captures the town's position between mountain and valley. The irregular streets of the upper town follow the river's gorge, while the straighter roads below reach out into the vineyards and fields of the Bekaa. The result is a composition with a clear gradient from steep to flat.
The river runs through a narrow valley at the heart of the town. Streets and buildings line both banks, and the riverside restaurants are a local landmark.
In the upper town, the streets curve and double back along the slopes of Mount Lebanon. They create a dense, twisted pattern on the map.
Below the town, the flat plain opens out with straighter roads and large fields. It gives the lower half of the map a calm, open quality.

Koteā ko Zahlé
Zahlé means a lot to its large diaspora and to anyone who has spent a summer evening along the Berdawni. The shift from steep streets to flat plain gives the map strong, natural drama.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps with a family name or a wedding date. There are five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Sand works especially well with the Bekaa landscape.
