Te mapa
Zhangatas sits in Zhambyl Region in southern Kazakhstan, below the Karatau range where the hills give way to steppe. From above, it appears as a compact, deliberately planned settlement. Wide streets and large residential blocks sit on the open land, with the mountains rising nearby.
The town was built in the Soviet era to serve phosphorite mining in the Karatau hills, and its plan reflects that purpose. It has regular microdistricts, generous spacing and roads leading out toward the workings. Around it, the land is sparse and open, so the street pattern stands out sharply.
A Zhangatas map poster captures that clarity. It shows an ordered grid set down on a wide landscape, with hills along one side. It is a fitting piece for people who grew up here, worked in the mines, or keep family ties to this corner of Kazakhstan.
The town is organised into broad, regular residential districts, a clear Soviet planning pattern that reads as strong geometry on paper.
The Karatau range rises close to town, and the land's shift from flat steppe to hills gives the map a natural boundary.
Roads and tracks run from the town toward the phosphorite workings in the hills, tying the settlement to the industry that created it.

Koteā ko Zhangatas
For anyone whose story passes through Zhangatas, this map keeps the town's shape in view: the streets of childhood, the road to work, the hills on the horizon. It is a quiet, personal piece rather than a tourist souvenir.
You can change the title, subtitle and coordinates line to include a name, a year or a short dedication. Five styles are available, Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand, so the print can sit well in any interior.
