关于地图
'Ārdamatā Map Poster & Print
'Ārdamatā lies right beside El Geneina, the capital of West Darfur, close to Sudan's border with Chad. On a map it reads as an outgrowth of the larger town, with low buildings and compounds laid out along sandy tracks. The surrounding land is dry savanna, and wadis cross it that only carry water in the rainy season.
The settlement's history has been marked by the conflicts in Darfur, and many families have been displaced to and from here. That context matters, but the map itself shows something simpler: the everyday outline of a community, its tracks, its compounds and the land around it.
A 'Ārdamatā map poster is a spare, honest record of the place. It shows a loose street pattern, the nearby edge of El Geneina and the pale lines of the wadis. For people with roots here, it can be a way of keeping hold of a home, even from far away.
