The Citanduy flows through the Banjar area towards the south coast of Java. Its winding course and tributaries form the natural structure of the map.

关于地图
Banjar Map Poster & Print
Banjar is a small city at the far eastern edge of West Java, close to the provincial border with Central Java. On the map, it lies in a green landscape of rice fields, hills and river valleys. The built-up area is modest and follows main roads and the course of the rivers.
It is a crossing point between two provinces, with road and rail routes passing through on their way across the island. The Citanduy river flows through the area, and irrigated fields fill the flatter ground around the town. Beyond the centre, villages and farmland take over quickly.
A Banjar map poster is a quiet picture of a regional town at a meeting point. The streets are close together at the centre and open into rural roads, rivers and field boundaries further out. It is a subtle subject, but a real one, for people with a personal link to this part of Java.

Provincial crossing
The city lies near the border between West and Central Java. Roads and the railway cross the region here, and they show up as clear lines on the map.
Fields and hills
Rice fields and wooded hills surround the town. They give the outer parts of the map a fine, irregular pattern around the denser centre.
