Road north of Bangui
The main road leaving the capital runs through Bégoua. On the map it forms the clearest line, with side lanes branching off it at irregular intervals on both sides.

关于地图
Bégoua Map Poster & Print
Bégoua sits just north of Bangui in the prefecture of Ombella-M'Poko. It is a commune that has grown alongside the capital rather than apart from it. From above, the settlement reads as a loose weave of unpaved lanes and compounds gathered around the main route leading north, with the denser streets of Bangui pressing in from the south.
The land around it is green and gently rolling, part of the forest and savanna country in the south-west of the Central African Republic. On a monochrome print this shows as scattered blocks that thin out into open ground. The road works as a spine that everything else hangs from. It is a map about how a city grows at its edge.
A Bégoua map poster suits someone with a personal tie to the place: a family home, a year of work, a first posting. The linework comes from open map data and is kept deliberately plain, so the pattern of streets carries the image without labels getting in the way. Because the area changes quickly, the print also records how it looked at one moment.

Informal street pattern
Instead of following a planned grid, lanes follow plot boundaries and footpaths. This gives the print a looser, hand-drawn texture compared with the older blocks of central Bangui.
Edge of the capital
To the south the built-up area merges with Bangui itself, so the frame captures the point where the capital's street network gives way to more open land.

为什么选Bégoua
一张有意义的地图
People hang a map of Bégoua because it marks somewhere that rarely appears on printed maps at all. A poster turns a set of familiar lanes into something that can hang on a wall far from the Central African Republic, as a reminder of a home, a family or a period of work.
You can change the title, subtitle and coordinates line to add a family name, a date or a short phrase. Choose one of five styles, Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, and order either the $9 set of digital HD files or a printed poster.
