Bojnūrd Map Poster & Print
Bojnūrd is the capital of North Khorasan Province in northeastern Iran, not far from the border with Turkmenistan. It lies in an elevated valley framed by mountain ranges, and its map is set against that backdrop. A central grid of avenues and squares extends outward across the valley floor and stops where the slopes begin to rise.
The city is known for the Mofakham Mirror House, a Qajar-era building whose facade and interiors are richly decorated with mirrors and painted tiles. The region is ethnically diverse, with Kurdish, Turkmen and Persian communities among its population, and that diversity shapes the city's everyday culture and music.
