关于地图
Carvin Map Poster & Print
Carvin lies in the Pas-de-Calais department, on the flat plain between Lens and Lille. For more than a century it was part of the northern French coalfield, and the mining basin of Nord-Pas-de-Calais is now recognised by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. On a map, the legacy of that era is visible in the shape of the town.
The historic centre has a compact, irregular street pattern around its church and main square. Around it, former mining settlements, known as cités, were built in regular rows of identical houses, forming neat grids that differ clearly from the older core.
Railway lines, main roads and the A1 motorway cross the area, and open farmland lies between Carvin and neighbouring towns. A Carvin map poster shows how an old market town and its planned mining districts came together on the plain.

Historic centre
The older core around the church and main square keeps a denser, more irregular street network than the planned districts around it.
Plain and fields
Flat farmland separates Carvin from neighbouring towns, with roads and rail lines running straight across the open ground.

为什么选Carvin
一张有意义的地图
Carvin carries the memory of generations of mining families, and many people still have roots in its cités. A map of the town honours that heritage and makes a warm gift for relatives near or far.
Add a title, a subtitle such as a family name and the coordinates line or a date. Choose from Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Noir suits the town's industrial past with pale lines on black.
