Main road spine
The main road runs through the town and sets its direction. Most streets branch off it, so the poster reads as one long, clear line with side streets.

关于地图
Gimbi Map Poster & Print
Gimbi is a town in the West Welega zone of Oromia in western Ethiopia, and an administrative centre for the surrounding area. It sits on high ground. From above, the town follows the main road that crosses the region, with streets branching off on either side and neighbourhoods spreading along the ridges.
The countryside here is green and hilly, with patches of forest, smallholdings and streams in the valleys between the ridges. Western Ethiopia is one of the country's main coffee-growing regions, and the land around Gimbi shows that farming character. On the map the outer areas become a fine web of footpaths and rural tracks linking scattered homesteads.
A Gimbi map poster is a simple, honest image of a regional town: a main artery, a cluster of streets around the centre, and roads leading off toward other towns in the west. It makes a personal gift for people from the area and for those who worked, studied or volunteered there and want a lasting reminder of the place.

Ridge-top setting
Neighbourhoods follow the higher ground while the valleys fall away around them, creating an uneven outline that reflects the hilly terrain of western Ethiopia.
Rural track network
Beyond the centre, small paths and tracks spread through the countryside and fill the edges of the map with fine, irregular detail.

为什么选Gimbi
一张有意义的地图
Gimbi is often a very personal choice: a birthplace for people in the diaspora, a posting remembered from years of work, or the home of relatives. A map of its streets keeps that connection in view every day.
Write your own title, add a subtitle with a name or year, and keep the coordinates line if you like. The HD files cost $9 and come in five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand.
