Converging tracks
A few roads and tracks meet at the settlement from different directions. On the poster they form a simple star-like pattern against a mostly empty background.

关于地图
Kafia Kingi Map Poster & Print
Kafia Kingi lies in the far west of South Sudan, close to the border with Sudan and the Central African Republic. The wider Kafia Kingi area has been disputed between Sudan and South Sudan, and it remains one of the more remote parts of the region. The landscape is mainly savanna and woodland crossed by seasonal watercourses.
On a map the settlement is small and simple. A handful of tracks meet at the inhabited area and lead out across open country, and seasonal streams draw faint lines through the land. There is very little built-up ground, and most of the frame is open space. This makes the map less about streets than about isolation and distance.
A Kafia Kingi map poster is a minimal image: a few lines and a small cluster on a wide field. That spareness makes it quite striking in black and white. It is best suited to people with a personal connection to the area, such as former residents, family members or those who have worked in the region.

Seasonal waterways
Streams that flow mainly in the rainy season cross the surrounding land. Where they are mapped, they add soft, irregular lines to the composition.
Open savanna
Most of the frame is open land with little mapped detail. The empty space is part of the image and conveys how remote the place is.

一张有意义的地图
Some maps are hung for beauty, others for memory. A map of Kafia Kingi is usually the second kind, a record of a place that matters to someone and that few others will ever see.
Set your own title and subtitle, keep or edit the coordinates, and choose Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Start with the free watermarked preview to see how the sparse layout prints.
