Regional crossroads
Main roads toward Guéckédou and Faranah meet in Kissidougou, and these longer lines give the print its structure as they cross the rolling country.

关于地图
Kissidougou Map Poster & Print
Kissidougou lies in the Faranah region of Guinea, in the transition zone where the savanna of Upper Guinea meets the forested south. The town is a regional centre for the Kissi country, and from above it appears as a loose network of streets spreading over gently rolling ground, with main roads heading toward Guéckédou and Faranah.
The surrounding landscape is known for its forest islands, patches of dense woodland that often encircle villages and stand out against the grassland. They drew the attention of researchers who argued that local farmers had helped create them, rather than their being remnants of a vanished forest. On a street map, the surrounding villages appear as small, separate clusters linked by tracks.
A Kissidougou map poster keeps the focus on the town itself: an organic web of streets, main roads leaving toward neighbouring prefectures and open space around the edges. It is a quiet, personal image of a place that rarely appears on printed maps, made for those who call it home.

Organic street web
The town's streets follow the terrain and older paths, producing an irregular pattern that feels lived-in and reads very differently from a planned grid.
Forest-island country
The countryside is known for islands of forest around villages, a landscape feature studied by researchers and part of how the region is recognised.
