Missour Map Poster & Print
Missour lies in the upper Moulouya valley in eastern Morocco, between the Middle Atlas and the high plateaus that stretch toward the Algerian border. The country around it is dry and open. On a map, the town and its irrigated fields form a clear island of lines surrounded by broad, empty ground in every direction.
The Moulouya is one of Morocco's longest rivers and flows north-east toward the Mediterranean. Around Missour its water supports orchards, palms and small farm plots. Their boundaries appear on the map as a fine, irregular mesh along the river, in sharp contrast with the sparse tracks that cross the steppe beyond.
