Nehbandān Map Poster & Print
Nehbandān lies in South Khorasan Province in eastern Iran, not far from the border with Afghanistan. The town stands on a dry, open plain at the edge of the Lut desert region, with rugged mountains nearby. From above, its streets form a compact settlement within a vast, almost empty landscape, crossed by a few long roads heading north and south.
In such a dry setting, water has always decided where people live, and irrigation channels and fields mark the land around many towns in the region. On a Nehbandān map poster, the dense town, its thin approach roads and the wide blank terrain around it make an austere composition that looks more like a sketch than a busy city plan.
Nehbandān sits on the main road between Birjand and Zahedan, an important route through eastern Iran. The map shows the town at its true scale: a small, carefully built place in a landscape of stone, sand and distant ridges, where every street and field reflects the effort of living there.
