关于地图
Pont-à-Mousson Map Poster & Print
Pont-à-Mousson owes its name to two defining features: the bridge across the Moselle and the Mousson hill that rises to the southeast, once crowned by a castle. The town lies on both banks of the river between Nancy and Metz, and on a map the Moselle divides it cleanly in two, with bridges stitching the halves together.
In the centre, the Place Duroc forms a triangular square lined with arcaded houses, an unusual shape that stands out clearly from above. Near the river stands the Abbaye des Prémontrés, an eighteenth-century abbey building beside the water. Pont-à-Mousson was also home to a university founded in 1572, which moved to Nancy in the eighteenth century.
Beyond the historic centre, the map shows the working side of the town, including the large foundry site known for ductile iron pipes, as well as railway lines and the navigable Moselle. A Pont-à-Mousson map poster brings these layers together: a river crossing, an arcaded square, an abbey and the industrial town that grew around them.

Moselle crossing
The river runs through the centre, with bridges linking the two banks. It is the line that gave the town its purpose and half of its name.
Mousson hill
Southeast of town, the isolated hill that lends the second half of the name rises above the valley, visible at wider scales as a rounded contour.
