Timbó Map Poster & Print
Timbó is a town in the Vale do Itajaí of Santa Catarina, in southern Brazil. It was settled in the nineteenth century by German and later Italian immigrants, and that heritage still shapes local architecture and culture. The town is often called the Pérola do Vale, the pearl of the valley.
Rivers are central to its map. Timbó sits where watercourses meet, and the streets follow their banks, crossing them on several bridges. The surrounding terrain is hilly and green, so the urban area is spread along valleys, with roads branching out between the slopes toward Blumenau and neighbouring towns.
