关于地图
Tonk Map Poster & Print
Tonk lies in eastern Rajasthan near the Banas River, whose broad, often dry bed curves past the town. On the map the old walled town forms a dense cluster of lanes, while low hills rise nearby and roads lead out toward Jaipur and other towns in the region. Farmland surrounds the built area in a patchwork of fields.
Tonk was the capital of a princely state ruled by Nawabs, the only Muslim-ruled princely state in Rajputana. That history remains in its buildings, including the Sunehri Kothi with its gilded interior, and in the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Arabic and Persian Research Institute, known for its collection of manuscripts.
A Tonk map poster shows a historic town shaped by a river and hills, with narrow streets at its centre and roads fanning out across the plain. The river bend gives the drawing a strong curve that balances the fine texture of the old lanes.

The old town
Tonk's historic centre is a close web of narrow lanes, the densest part of the map and the heart of the former Nawabi capital.
Roads across the plain
Main roads leave the town in several directions, crossing open farmland toward Jaipur and neighbouring districts, giving the composition clear radiating lines.
