The main road
The road through town is the strongest line on the map, a spine that the rest of Usagara grows from, with side streets and paths branching off it at uneven intervals.

关于地图
Usagara Map Poster & Print
Usagara sits in the Mwanza Region of northern Tanzania, a short distance inland from the southern shores of Lake Victoria. From above it reads as a modest settlement rather than a dense city: a main road carries most of the structure, and shorter lanes branch off it toward homes, plots and open ground. The map is a study in how a small town takes shape along a route.
Home to roughly fifteen thousand people, the town shows the loose, open pattern common to this part of East Africa. Built-up blocks thin quickly into fields and footpaths, and the lines on the page grow sparse toward the edges. On a Usagara map poster that thinning becomes the subject itself, a clear centre fading into countryside, drawn in fine black lines on a pale ground.
The wider Mwanza Region is known for its granite outcrops, the rounded boulder hills that rise from farmland around the lake, and for Lake Victoria itself, the largest lake in Africa. Neither needs to fill the frame to be felt. The irregular gaps in the street pattern and the way tracks bend around the terrain hint at a landscape shaped by rock, water and cultivation.

Town fading outward
Close to the centre the lines gather into small blocks, and further out they loosen into scattered tracks, so the poster shows exactly where the town ends and the fields begin.
Lake Victoria region
Usagara belongs to the country south of Lake Victoria, where rocky hills and farmland shape the ground and paths often curve around obstacles instead of following a straight grid.

为什么选Usagara
一张有意义的地图
A map of Usagara is usually a personal choice: a hometown, a family place, or somewhere spent working or teaching in the Mwanza Region. Its quiet, sparse lines suit a hallway or study, and the poster keeps the memory of a specific place rather than a generic view of the country.
You can set your own title, subtitle and coordinates line, such as a family name or a year, and choose from five styles: Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The $9 digital download includes six sizes as 300 DPI PNG and PDF files, and printed posters ship from partners in over 30 countries.
