Kuban River bend
The Kuban bends past the town in wide loops, with oxbows and side channels on its floodplain. In black and white these curves are the strongest shapes on the sheet.

关于地图
Ust’-Labinsk Map Poster & Print
Ust’-Labinsk sits on the Kuban River in Krasnodar Krai, and its name describes where it is: the mouth of the Laba. On a map the town lies on the Kuban's bank, with the wide, looping river and its old channels curving past the southern edge. Beyond the river the flat farmland of the Kuban lowland stretches out in large rectangular fields.
The street plan is typical of a Cossack settlement that grew into a town. Long parallel streets run for kilometres, crossed at regular intervals, and form a loose grid of generous blocks with gardens behind the houses. Rail and road approaches cut across this pattern at an angle. Where the grid meets the river terrace, the lines break up and follow the slope instead.
The settlement began in the late eighteenth century as a fortress on the Caucasian defensive line along the Kuban. A Ust’-Labinsk map poster shows that frontier layout turned into a quiet farming town: a river line along one side, a long rhythm of streets through the middle, and open steppe fields around the edges.

Cossack street grid
Long, evenly spaced streets and deep garden plots give the residential districts a stretched, regular texture that reads clearly even at small print sizes.
Confluence setting
The Laba joins the Kuban near the town, and that meeting of two rivers is where the name comes from. It is the point the map is anchored on.

为什么选Ust’-Labinsk
一张有意义的地图
People hang Ust’-Labinsk because they grew up among its long streets or have family along the Kuban. The river and the grid make a calm, readable picture that works in a hallway or above a desk, and does not need any explanation.
You can change the title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example to add a family name or a year, then choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Download the HD files for $9, or order a matte print with an optional wooden frame.
