Bafia is a town in the Centre Region of Cameroon, north-west of Yaoundé, and serves as the administrative centre of its department. The surrounding land is a transition zone between forest and savanna, and the town sits on gently rolling ground. From above, a central area of denser streets gives way to looser residential neighbourhoods.
Main roads enter the town from several directions and meet near the centre, forming the strongest lines on the map. Between them, smaller streets and paths fill the space in an irregular pattern, shaped by the land and by gradual growth.
