Weituo sits within Chongqing municipality, in the hilly country of the Sichuan Basin. Very little here is flat, and the map shows it. Roads follow contours instead of a grid, farm tracks wind between low ridges, and the built-up area gathers where the ground allows, leaving irregular edges where slopes and fields take over.
Like many towns in the region, Weituo mixes a denser older core with newer blocks and wider roads added in recent decades. On paper the difference is easy to see: short, tight streets near the centre give way to longer, straighter roads and bigger building footprints further out. Water nearby adds curved lines that cut across the pattern.
