Pfullingen Map Poster & Print
Pfullingen lies just south of Reutlingen in Baden-Württemberg, where the Echaz valley cuts into the escarpment of the Swabian Alb. On the map, the town fills the valley floor, and its streets run roughly parallel to the stream. To the north it blends almost seamlessly into Reutlingen. To the south and east, wooded slopes stop the streets abruptly.
The Echaz is the main thread through the town. It is a small river, but it long powered mills and workshops and gave Pfullingen its shape. The steep edge of the Alb is always nearby, and on a detailed print the hills show up as an absence of streets, a dark or blank edge around a busy valley.
A Pfullingen map poster suits anyone who knows the area around Reutlingen and the hiking country of the Alb. The Schönberg lookout tower, known locally as the Onderhos, stands on the hill above the town. The map records how closely the town depends on its valley.

Edge of the Alb
Steep wooded slopes rise close to the town, so the street grid ends sharply at the valley sides. This makes a crisp boundary on the printed map.
Joined to Reutlingen
To the north, Pfullingen's streets run straight into Reutlingen's. On the map, the two form one continuous built-up area along the valley.
