Urban street grid
Streets in this part of Yangon follow a largely rectilinear pattern and form regular blocks. They continue the planned layout the city is known for across its central townships.

Setsan Map Poster
Setsan is an urban quarter of Yangon, Myanmar's largest city. Yangon is surrounded on several sides by rivers and tidal creeks, and water sets many of the city's edges. Around Setsan the map is fully urban: blocks of housing and shops, streets in a mostly regular grid, and the busier roads that carry traffic toward the centre and the port.
Yangon's downtown was laid out under British rule on a strict grid beside the Yangon River, and later neighbourhoods largely continued that orderly pattern. Areas like Setsan show how the city spread along its waterfronts, with long parallel streets, short cross streets and a riverbank lined by wharves and industrial sites. In black and white, the contrast between the dense street pattern and the broad, blank rivers stands out.
A Setsan map poster captures one specific part of a large city rather than the whole. That makes it personal: it shows a local street, a nearby market road or the way down to the water. For people from Yangon now living elsewhere, that detail matters more than a general view of the city.

River edges
Wide rivers and creeks border much of Yangon. On a wider framing they appear as large empty shapes that set off the dense streets around them.
Links to the centre
Main roads through the area connect to downtown Yangon and the port. Their stronger lines give structure to the finer network of residential streets.
