Colorado River
The river runs down the length of the city as a strong curving line, separating Arizona from Nevada and shaping the long, narrow form of the town.

Mapa
Bullhead City Map Poster & Print
Bullhead City lies in northwestern Arizona on the east bank of the Colorado River, directly across from Laughlin, Nevada. The city stretches in a long, narrow band along the river, with streets running parallel to the water and neighbourhoods climbing gently onto the desert slopes to the east.
It grew from a construction camp for Davis Dam, built upstream in the mid-twentieth century to form Lake Mohave. The city's name comes from Bull's Head Rock, a formation along the river that was later submerged by the reservoir. Summer temperatures here are among the highest in the United States.
A Bullhead City map poster is defined by the Colorado River. The water curves down the middle of the frame, bridges connect the two states, and Laughlin's casino strip lines the opposite bank. Beyond, the streets fade into desert washes and open land.

Laughlin across the water
The casino towns of Laughlin line the opposite bank, linked by bridges, so the map shows two states facing each other across the river.
Desert washes
East of the river, streets meet dry washes and rising ground, giving the edge of the map a loose pattern of channels and cul-de-sacs.
