Lachi is a town in Kohat District in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, in the rugged country between the Kohat valley and the districts further south. The landscape is dry and hilly, with ridges and seasonal stream beds shaping where people can build and where roads can go. The town is the administrative centre of its tehsil.
