Lake Ohrid
The lake occupies the northern part of the map, a broad, calm expanse that gives the poster a strong open field and a clean, curving shoreline.

Mapa
Pogradec Map Poster & Print
Pogradec stretches along the southern shore of Lake Ohrid in south-eastern Albania, close to the border with North Macedonia. On the map, the town is shaped almost entirely by the lake: a long waterfront runs across the top of the built-up area, and the streets extend inland in a band that narrows as the ground rises into the surrounding hills.
Lake Ohrid is one of the oldest and deepest lakes in Europe, and together with its surroundings it is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Pogradec is known for its lakeside promenade and for the koran, the Ohrid trout found in these waters. A hill holding the remains of an old castle rises above the town.
A Pogradec map poster sets the dense grid of the town against the wide, empty surface of the lake, which fills a large part of the frame. The shoreline curves gently, the promenade follows it closely, and roads head along the coast towards the border and inland towards Korçë. It is a composition of clear edges and generous space.

Lakeside promenade
The waterfront walk follows the shoreline along the edge of town, a long, gentle line where the street grid meets the water.
Castle hill
Above the town, a hill holding the remains of an old fortress rises steeply, where the street pattern gives way to open slopes overlooking the lake.
