El mapa
Ridderkerk Map Poster & Print
Ridderkerk lies in South Holland just southeast of Rotterdam, in an area where major rivers converge. The Nieuwe Maas and the Noord border the town, and across the water lies Kinderdijk with its famous row of windmills. From above, Ridderkerk is enclosed by dikes and water, a typical Dutch polder settlement that has grown into a modern suburb.
The town's historic core developed along dike roads, and the long, linear shapes of these older streets are still visible on the map. Around them, post-war neighbourhoods fill the polders with more regular layouts. On the town's edge, the Ridderkerk interchange, where the A15 and A16 motorways meet, forms a large, complex knot of loops and ramps.
A Ridderkerk map poster captures the contrast between water, dikes and infrastructure: rivers curving around the edge, straight polder streets inside and the bold geometry of the motorway junction. The result is a clear, graphic image of the Dutch landscape, a meaningful piece for anyone who calls the Rotterdam region home.

Dike roads
The oldest streets follow the dikes in long, linear shapes. They recall how the town first developed on raised ground and give the plan a distinct historical structure.
A15/A16 interchange
The motorway junction at Ridderkerk is one of the busiest in the Netherlands. Its loops and ramps create a striking, almost sculptural shape on the edge of the map.
