Right-angled roads
The flat terrain allows long, straight roads that cross at right angles, which gives the print a crisp, orderly geometry across the whole frame.

El mapa
Shiji Map Poster & Print
Shiji lies in the north of Jiangsu province, on the low, flat plain that covers much of this part of eastern China. There is little for the streets to bend around, so the map is made of straight lines. Main roads run through the town, side streets meet them squarely, and the farmland beyond is cut into regular rectangular plots.
Towns in northern Jiangsu have grown quickly in recent decades, and you can see it from above. Older, finer-grained blocks sit near the centre, while newer residential compounds and wider roads appear towards the edges. Irrigation channels and small watercourses thread through the fields around the town, adding thin lines that break up the geometry.
A Shiji map poster turns that ordered plain into a clean graphic. The contrast between the compact centre and the gridded fields around it gives the composition structure without relying on a single landmark. The Blueprint style suits it especially well because it echoes the planned, measured look of the ground itself.

Field patterns
Beyond the built-up area, farmland is divided into regular plots. Their boundaries show up as a fine texture surrounding the town on every side.
Water channels
Narrow canals and irrigation ditches run through the northern Jiangsu plain, adding thin and sometimes curving lines to an otherwise rectilinear map.
