Furnas reservoir inlets
Flooded valleys create long, branching arms of water near town. Their jagged outlines are some of the most striking shorelines in inland Brazil.

关于地图
Alpinópolis Map Poster & Print
Alpinópolis sits in the rolling hill country of southern Minas Gerais, near the shores of the Furnas reservoir. That reservoir is one of the largest artificial lakes in Brazil, and its water fills old river valleys in long, branching inlets. On a map, those inlets make ragged, complex outlines that reach in toward the farmland around town and give the region an unusual shape.
The town itself follows a familiar pattern for inland Minas. There is a central grid of blocks around a main square and church, with streets that bend and slope as they meet the hills. Beyond the urban core, rural roads curve across the land between coffee farms and pasture, often ending at a shoreline instead of another town.
An Alpinópolis map poster works well at a zoom that includes some of the lake. The contrast between the tight town blocks and the spread-out, fractal edges of the water gives the print both structure and movement. In the Blueprint or Sand styles, the reservoir becomes the main graphic element.

Central square
Like many towns in Minas Gerais, Alpinópolis is anchored by a main square with a church. The street grid grows outward from that point.
Hill-bound streets
Where the grid meets rising ground, streets curve and taper. Those small distortions show the terrain without drawing a single contour line.

为什么选 Alpinópolis
一张有意义的地图
People with family roots in southern Minas, or anyone who has spent weekends on the Furnas lake, will recognise the mix of small-town grid and wandering shoreline. It is a quiet, personal map, not a famous skyline.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can all be changed, so you can mark a birthplace, a wedding or a house by the water. Pick from five styles. The $9 digital files include 300 DPI PNG and print-ready PDF versions.
