Tigris meanders
The river loops broadly across the frame, its curves giving the poster its main shape and a sense of slow, steady movement against the flat surrounding land.

关于地图
An Nu‘mānīyah Map Poster & Print
An Nu‘mānīyah lies on the Tigris in Wasit province, upstream of Kut on the route toward Baghdad. On a map the river dominates, swinging through the area in broad loops, and the town sits against it, its streets arranged in a mostly regular grid that thins out into fields and scattered farmsteads along the banks and across the plain.
The name is old. A settlement called Nu‘maniyah on the Tigris appears in medieval Arab geographies, and the river crossing here has long made it a waypoint between Baghdad and the lower Tigris. Today the map shows bridges tying the two banks together and roads running out across the flat alluvial land in long, almost ruler-straight lines.
Seen in black and white, the scene is quiet and legible: water, a few crossings, a gridded town and wide farmland. The An Nu‘mānīyah map poster works well at larger sizes, where the full curve of the river has space to unfold and the fine lines of irrigation around the edges become clearly visible.

River crossings
Bridges link the town with the opposite bank, short and definite lines that show exactly where the road network steps across the wide water.
Grid and fields
Behind the riverfront the streets settle into a mostly regular grid, which gives way at the edges to rectangular fields and straight farm tracks.

为什么选 An Nu‘mānīyah
一张有意义的地图
People hang this map to remember a home on the Tigris, a family origin in Wasit, or time spent in the region. Its composition is naturally balanced, with the river doing most of the graphic work and the town providing a fine, detailed centre.
Personalise the title and subtitle with a name, a date or a short dedication, and edit the coordinates line if you wish. There are five styles to choose from, and each digital order includes six print sizes as 300 DPI PNG and print-ready PDF files.
