关于地图
Beni Map Poster & Print
Beni lies in North Kivu, in the far east of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, almost exactly on the equator. The town spreads across rolling ground, and from above its streets look loose and irregular, following the landform rather than a strict plan. Houses and plots are surrounded by gardens and trees, so green space is everywhere.
A main road runs through Beni from south to north, linking it with Butembo and the other towns of the region, and it acts as the spine of the town. Smaller roads branch off it into the neighbourhoods. The airstrip adds one long straight line to an otherwise organic layout.
To the east rise the Rwenzori Mountains, and the Virunga National Park is nearby, with dense rainforest stretching away to the north and west. A Beni map poster shows a town at the meeting point of highlands and forest, centred on the road that connects it to the rest of North Kivu.

Garden plots
Houses sit among gardens and trees, and small paths wind between them, giving the map a soft, open texture.
Toward the Rwenzori
The land rises to the east toward the Rwenzori Mountains, with Virunga National Park and forest on the edges of the region.
