Betulia Map Poster & Print
Betulia is a municipality in the south-west of Antioquia, Colombia, in mountainous country above the canyon of the Cauca River. The town is built on sloping ground, so its streets are short and often steep. On a map, the compact centre sits on the hillside with rural roads winding away along the contours.
Like many towns in this part of Antioquia, Betulia is organised around a main square with its church, the traditional heart of the Spanish colonial and republican town plan. Around it, blocks follow a rough grid that bends where the terrain requires. Farming, including coffee, shapes the landscape beyond the town.
A Betulia map poster shows a small, orderly core set against a very irregular landscape. The central blocks are tight and regular, and the roads outside the town loop and switch back across ridges and valleys.
