关于地图
Canelones Map Poster & Print
Canelones is the capital of the department of the same name in southern Uruguay, less than an hour's drive north of Montevideo. The city takes its name from a local stream, and its plan follows the classic Spanish colonial model: a regular grid of square blocks arranged around a central plaza, with the main church and public buildings facing onto it.
The department around it is Uruguay's farming heartland and its main wine region, and the map shows it. Where the grid ends, the streets give way to country roads, small farms, market gardens and vineyards. Roads and a railway line add longer, straighter strokes that tie the city to the capital and the interior.
A Canelones map poster presents that order clearly. The block pattern is regular enough to look almost like a diagram, yet small shifts at its edges show where the town grew in stages. For anyone from Canelones, or with family among its farms and wineries, it is an elegant and very specific piece of home.

Regular block grid
Square blocks repeat in every direction from the centre, giving the poster a clean, measured pattern typical of towns founded under Spanish rule.
Farmland edges
Where the grid stops, country roads, field boundaries and vineyards take over, loosening the drawing and showing the farmland that defines the department.
