Compact town mass
The centre of Dikirnis is a dense block of narrow streets with almost no open ground, giving the poster a strong dark focal point.

关于地图
Dikirnis Map Poster & Print
Dikirnis is a market town in Dakahlia Governorate, in the northeastern Nile Delta between Mansoura and the coastal lagoons near the Mediterranean. The map shows a compact town of dense streets on completely flat land, with irrigation canals and drains running across the countryside in long, gently wandering lines and villages scattered at close intervals.
The delta here is among the most intensively farmed land in Egypt, and the town grew as a centre for the surrounding villages, with markets, schools and offices serving a large rural population. Roads and canals often run side by side, so on the map the transport network and the water network are woven together.
A Dikirnis map poster is about texture. The town reads as a dark, tightly packed shape, while the fields around it break into countless small parcels outlined by ditches and tracks. It is a quiet, detailed image, closer to a woven textile than to a conventional city plan.

Canals and drains
Irrigation canals and drainage channels cross the flat land in long lines, often paired with roads, forming the main structure of the outer map.
Scattered villages
Small villages sit at close intervals among the fields, each a tiny cluster of streets, dotting the frame like a constellation around the town.

为什么选 Dikirnis
一张有意义的地图
Many people from Dakahlia have moved to Cairo, Alexandria or abroad, and the delta landscape remains a strong image of home. A map of Dikirnis shows exactly that: the town, the canals and the fields in one calm view.
Put a family name, a date or a short dedication in the title and subtitle, adjust the coordinates line, and choose one of five styles. The $9 files come in six print sizes as 300 DPI PNG and print-ready PDF, and printed posters are available too.
