关于地图
Elumalai Map Poster & Print
Elumalai is a town in the Madurai district of Tamil Nadu, west of Madurai toward the foothills of the Western Ghats. The name is generally understood to mean seven hills, and the surrounding landscape fits it, with rocky hills rising from the plain. On a map the town is a compact cluster of streets around a centre, with farmland stretching out to the ridges.
Like many towns in this part of Tamil Nadu, Elumalai serves the villages around it, with a market, temples and schools. The fields depend on the monsoon and on the tanks, small reservoirs that have long been used to store water for farming in the region.
An Elumalai map poster shows a small town in an open landscape. The dense core, the roads running out to villages and the scattered water bodies make a simple, well-balanced composition. The poster gives a clear view of a place that is rarely shown in detail.

Irrigation tanks
Tanks and ponds, used for farming across southern Tamil Nadu, appear as rounded shapes in the surrounding land. They add quiet detail to the open space.
Foothill setting
Toward the west, the plain rises into hills. Roads and tracks thin out as the ground climbs, leaving a calm, uncluttered edge to the map.
