Geiro Map Poster & Print
Geiro, also written Gairo, is a district centre in the west of Morogoro Region, on the main road from Morogoro to Dodoma. The town sits where the land begins to climb toward the central plateau. Its layout follows the highway closely: a commercial strip of shops and bus stops, with residential streets spreading out behind it on both sides.
Because so many buses and lorries pass through, Geiro has the typical shape of a road-stop town, long rather than round. Farmland and dry hills surround it, cut by seasonal streams that appear on the map as thin, branching lines. A Geiro map poster sets the straight line of the highway against the looser pattern of the land around it.
Here the countryside shifts from greener slopes toward the drier plains of central Tanzania, and the map shows that openness in the wide gaps between settlements.
