关于地图
Inda Silasē Map Poster & Print
Inda Silasē, also known as Shire, lies on the highland plateau of northwestern Tigray in Ethiopia. From above, the town is a compact centre of streets where several main roads meet, surrounded by farmland and open highland terrain. Newer districts spread out along the roads leading in and out of town, and the street pattern loosens towards the edges.
The town is an important market and administrative centre for the surrounding farming area, and its airport links it to other parts of Ethiopia. Its location on the road network makes it a natural stopping point between western Tigray and the historic city of Axum to the east.
An Inda Silasē map poster shows a highland town shaped by its crossroads. The meeting of the main roads forms the core, with the town growing outward along them, while the surrounding land remains open and lightly marked. It is a simple, honest map, and for people connected to the town, a meaningful one.

Growth along roads
Newer neighbourhoods extend outward along the main routes, stretching the built area into arms that reach towards the countryside.
Highland surroundings
Beyond the town, farmland and open plateau stretch in every direction, crossed by only a few roads, so the town stands out clearly on the map.
