Steep historic core
The old quarter is built on a pronounced slope, so its streets bend and step to cope with the gradient. The result is a compact, irregular pattern quite unlike a flat grid.

关于地图
La Orotava Map Poster & Print
La Orotava occupies the Orotava Valley on the northern side of Tenerife, a wide amphitheatre of land that slopes from the Atlantic up to the mountains around Teide. The municipality is one of the largest on the island. It reaches far into the interior and takes in much of the national park around Spain's highest peak.
The old town sits on a steep incline, with streets running up and down the slope in a tight pattern. It is known for Canarian houses with carved wooden balconies, such as the Casa de los Balcones. It is also known for its Corpus Christi celebrations, when elaborate carpets of coloured volcanic sand are laid out in the square in front of the town hall.
A La Orotava map poster captures the gradient that defines the place. Streets tighten into the historic centre and then spread across the valley as farm roads and later development. With the coast below and the uplands above, the map reads as a slice through the island, from the shore toward the summit.

The Orotava Valley
The valley opens toward the sea in a broad curve. Roads and lanes fan across it, linking the town with Puerto de la Cruz on the coast below.
Reaching toward Teide
The municipality climbs far inland and includes much of Teide National Park. Beyond the town, the map empties into the open volcanic uplands at the centre of the island.

为什么选 La Orotava
一张有意义的地图
Many visitors to Tenerife remember La Orotava as the place where the island's history feels closest, with its balconies, churches and steep streets. A map poster of the town is a calm reminder of the walk uphill and the view back down the valley.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line with the dates of a trip or a wedding. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The HD files cost $9 and come in six sizes, or you can order a matte printed poster with an optional wooden frame.
