Lake Madarounfa
The seasonal lake next to the town is the most striking element of the map. It adds a large, soft shape to an otherwise flat landscape.

关于地图
Madarounfa Map Poster & Print
Madarounfa lies in the Maradi region of southern Niger, a short distance from the border with Nigeria. Its main natural feature is Lake Madarounfa, a body of water near the town that swells in the rainy season and shrinks in the dry months. On the map, the lake is a soft, rounded shape next to the settlement.
The town itself is a loose pattern of lanes and family compounds, with no regular grid. It spreads out gradually into fields and paths, and roads connect it north to Maradi and south towards the border. From above, the water, the low-density streets and the open farmland make a gentle, quiet composition.
Farming around the lake supports much of local life, and the area is part of the busy trade corridor between Maradi and northern Nigeria. A Madarounfa map poster gives this lakeside Sahel town a clear, lasting image on the wall.

Compound lanes
Irregular lanes and walled compounds make up the town's fabric. On the poster they have a loose, organic texture.
Border-bound roads
Roads lead north towards Maradi and south towards Nigeria. They give the composition a clear axis across the open plain.
