关于地图
Mainpuri Map Poster & Print
Mainpuri is in western Uttar Pradesh, on the level plain between the Ganges and the Yamuna, east of Agra. From above there is no relief to shape the town, so the pattern comes from history and roads. An older core of close lanes gives way to more open civil lines and newer areas along the main routes.
The town is the headquarters of Mainpuri district. It is known for tarkashi, a traditional craft in which fine brass wire is inlaid into dark wood to make boxes, plaques and furniture. The Isan River, a small tributary in this part of the Doab, runs near the town.
The land around Mainpuri is farmed intensively and dotted with villages, each linked by small roads. A Mainpuri map poster shows a clear district town: a dense centre, roads branching out in several directions, and a quiet pattern of fields and settlements all around.

Radiating highways
Main roads leave town toward Agra, Etawah, Farrukhabad and other district centres. They give the map a clear star-like structure.
Doab farmland
Flat, intensively farmed land surrounds the town, with small villages scattered through it. It forms a light, evenly textured background.
