Penteli slopes
The suburb climbs the lower slopes of Mount Penteli, so streets rise and curve and the upper edge opens onto wooded, less built-up ground.

关于地图
Melíssia Map Poster & Print
Melíssia is a suburb in the northern part of the Athens area, in the Attica region, on the lower slopes of Mount Penteli. It sits between the denser districts toward Marousi and the mountain above, and the land rises steadily from its lower edge to its upper streets.
Because of the slope, the streets here curve and switch back rather than forming a regular grid, and many plots are wooded, with pine trees among the houses. The area developed largely as a residential suburb in the twentieth century, valued for its cooler air and green setting close to the city.
A Melíssia map poster shows the layout that comes from its terrain: winding roads following the contours, open land toward Penteli and the busier network of the Athens basin at the lower edge. It is a picture of the city meeting the mountain, drawn in fine lines.

Contour-following streets
Roads wind along the hillside instead of following a grid, giving the map a flowing pattern very different from central Athens.
Green residential plots
Many houses stand on wooded plots with pines, and the loose spacing between them lends the print a lighter, more open texture.

为什么选 Melíssia
一张有意义的地图
Melíssia's residents often choose it for its quiet slopes and greenery, and a map of its winding streets captures that choice. It works well in a new home or as a gift for family who grew up there.
Write the title in Greek or Latin letters, add a date or the coordinates, and select one of five styles, such as Classic or Blueprint. Buy the $9 HD files, or have a matte print delivered from a partner in Europe.
