关于地图
Natagaima Map Poster & Print
Natagaima is in the south of Tolima department in Colombia, in the warm, dry valley of the upper Magdalena River. On a map it is a compact grid of blocks around a central plaza, set in flat farmland. The Magdalena, Colombia's main river, runs nearby, and the mountains of the Andes rise on both sides of the valley.
The town has a strong connection to the Pijao people, whose communities and heritage are still very present in this part of Tolima. The valley is known for its heat and for farming, including rice and cattle. Traditional festivals and music are an important part of local life, and the town sees itself as a keeper of that culture.
A Natagaima map poster shows a classic Colombian town plan. The streets form an even grid from the plaza, and irrigation channels and field boundaries spread out around it. The river valley frames the composition. In black and white it is a clear, balanced map with a solid centre and open, flat land around it.

Magdalena valley
The wide valley of the Magdalena River runs past the town. The river and its channels add long, winding lines to an otherwise very regular map.
Irrigated farmland
Around the town, fields and irrigation channels form a pattern of rectangles and straight lines across the flat valley floor.
