Pérama Map Poster & Print
Pérama lies on the western edge of the Piraeus area, on the narrow strait facing the island of Salamina. On a map it forms a dense strip between the sea and the hills behind. Streets of apartment buildings rise steeply from the waterfront and stop abruptly where the rocky slopes become too steep to build on.
Ship repair yards, docks and slipways dominate the shoreline and appear as large, angular shapes projecting into the water. Pérama is also the mainland terminal of the short ferry crossing to Salamina, one of the busiest ferry routes in Greece, with boats shuttling across the channel throughout the day.
Above the harbour, streets follow the contours in tight curves, and the upper neighbourhoods look out across the strait toward the island. A Pérama map poster captures this compact, vertical coastal town: industrial edges at sea level, dense housing on the slopes, and open water on the other side.
