关于地图
Pongch’ŏn-ŭp Map Poster & Print
Pongch’ŏn-ŭp is the administrative town of a county in South Hwanghae province, in the south-west of North Korea, not far from the Yellow Sea coast. The region is one of the country's main farming areas, and the land around the town is dominated by flat, irrigated rice fields broken up by low hills.
From above, the town is a compact cluster of streets and blocks with a few main roads leading out across the plain. The surrounding countryside is organised into regular paddy fields and irrigation channels, with small villages and cooperative farm settlements set among them. The pattern is geometric and even, with quiet space between each element.
Reliable detail about the town itself is limited, and a Pongch’ŏn-ŭp map poster makes no claims beyond what the map shows: a small county seat and its roads, set in a patchwork of fields. The result is a restrained, almost abstract image of a lowland farming landscape on the western side of the Korean peninsula.

Rice paddy grid
Irrigated fields are divided into regular rectangles by embankments and channels, creating a fine, even texture across much of the sheet.
Low hills
Scattered low hills interrupt the flat plain, and roads and field boundaries bend around them, adding a few soft curves to an otherwise straight-lined landscape.

为什么选 Pongch’ŏn-ŭp
一张有意义的地图
Some people hang a map of Pongch’ŏn-ŭp because of family origins in Hwanghae, others simply because it is a rarely seen place with a strikingly regular landscape. Either way, the map offers a calm, factual picture of the land.
You can edit the title, subtitle and coordinates line, including Korean text. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The field grid looks especially clean in Blueprint and understated in Paper.
