Two central plazas
Two open squares sit close together in the centre. They reflect the town's origin as two neighbouring communities and give the map a balanced core that is uncommon for a place this size.

关于地图
Riosucio Map Poster & Print
Riosucio sits high in the western ranges of Caldas, and a map shows it clearly. The streets climb and bend with the hillside instead of running in straight lines. The built-up area is compact and ends quickly at green slopes, so the edge of town is easy to see even at a small scale.
The town is unusual for having two main plazas. They go back to the joining of two earlier settlements, and on a map they look like two separate centres a short walk apart. Both are surrounded by the tight, regular blocks typical of Colombian towns, which contrast with the loose rural roads beyond. A Riosucio map poster shows this double centre clearly.
Riosucio is best known for its Carnaval del Diablo. The festival is held every two years and mixes Indigenous, African and Spanish traditions. Its parades pass through the same streets that the poster shows as fine lines, so a print can bring back the celebration while showing the everyday layout of the town.

Hillside street pattern
Outside the centre, streets follow the contours of the mountain. They curve and fork where the ground rises, giving the lines a looser, more organic rhythm than a flat grid.
Abrupt rural edge
The town stops where the steep land begins. The dense blocks give way to a few winding roads and a lot of empty space, which frames the settlement like an island on the paper.

为什么选 Riosucio
一张有意义的地图
People hang Riosucio for its carnival, for family roots in Caldas, or for time spent in the Colombian coffee region. The two plazas and the climbing streets make a recognisable composition that works even as a small print in a hallway.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example to mark a carnival year or a family date. There are five styles: Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Sand and Paper suit the warm tone of an Andean town.
