Salgar Map Poster & Print
Salgar lies in the southwest of Antioquia, in coffee-growing country on the western slopes of the Colombian Andes. The terrain is steep, and it shapes the whole map. The town sits on a relatively level shelf, with a compact grid of streets around a central square. Beyond it the ground falls away into valleys.
The roads leading out of town follow the mountains closely, bending and switching back along the slopes. Streams run down the hillsides into deeper river valleys. The land around Salgar is a patchwork of coffee farms, pasture and forest. The rural roads and watercourses make a dense, organic pattern around the town.
