关于地图
Sinkat Map Poster & Print
Sinkat lies in the Red Sea Hills of eastern Sudan, inland from Port Sudan. The land here is dry and rocky. On a map the town is a compact cluster of streets in a basin among the hills, with a few roads leading out across open, mostly empty land toward the coast and other towns in the region.
Sinkat appears in history as the site of a siege in the 1880s, during the Mahdist war, when a garrison held out for months before the town fell. Today it is a local centre for the Beja communities of the hills. The terrain limits the town's shape, and it has grown along its main routes more than in any planned pattern.
A Sinkat map poster is sparse. Most of the frame is empty land, and the streets sit in the middle as a small, dense shape. That openness is the point of the design: it shows a town set in a wide landscape, drawn with a few clean lines.

Roads outward
A few roads leave the town toward the coast and the neighbouring settlements. They are thin, isolated lines across the empty land.
Hill setting
The Red Sea Hills surround the basin. On the poster they read as broad, quiet space, which makes the small town look even more distinct.

为什么选 Sinkat
一张有意义的地图
For people with roots in eastern Sudan, Sinkat is a specific place with its own history. A clean map offers a simple, dignified way to keep it on a wall, especially for families now living far from the Red Sea Hills.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, and pick Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The HD download is $9 and includes 300 DPI PNG and print-ready PDF files in six sizes. A free watermarked preview is available first.
