Dense old core
The centre of town is a tight knot of narrow, irregular lanes. It is the busiest and most detailed part of the map and the obvious focal point.

关于地图
Tānda Map Poster & Print
Tānda lies in the Rampur district of western Uttar Pradesh, on the broad, flat plain between the Himalayan foothills and the Ganges. The land here is level and intensively farmed. On a map the town looks like a dense cluster of lanes and small blocks, with roads running out through the fields to nearby villages and larger towns.
Like many market towns in the region, Tānda grew around trade in farm produce. It has no single planned grid. Instead, the old core is made of narrow, irregular streets that open onto wider roads. Newer housing extends along the main routes, so the outline of the town reaches out along each approach road rather than forming a neat circle.
A Tānda map poster shows this as an intricate, organic pattern. Its fine lines are packed tightly in the middle and grow sparser towards the edges, where fields and field tracks take over. It is an honest portrait of a working North Indian town, drawn simply enough that the shape of the place stands out clearly.

Radiating roads
Main roads leave the centre in several directions and link Tānda to the villages and district towns around it across the plain.
Field margins
Beyond the built-up area, the lines thin into a loose web of rural tracks, so the town seems to sit in open farmland.

为什么选 Tānda
一张有意义的地图
For families from Tānda living in Delhi, the Gulf or further afield, a map of the town is a simple, dignified reminder of home. It shows the streets they know without leaning on photographs or ornament.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can all be personalised, for example with the name in Hindi or Urdu. Choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The HD files cost $9 and print cleanly at any of the six sizes.
