关于地图
Wallingford Map Poster & Print
Wallingford lies in New Haven County, Connecticut, roughly midway between New Haven and Hartford. Its map runs north to south. The Quinnipiac River flows down the valley, the railway and Route 5 run through the town, and the Wilbur Cross Parkway and Interstate 91 cross its territory. Low ridges rise toward the eastern and western edges.
At the centre, the historic district follows a long, broad Main Street lined with older houses and churches. It dates back to the town's settlement in the 1670s. Just off it lies the campus of Choate Rosemary Hall, one of the best-known boarding schools in the United States, whose buildings and playing fields fill a large area near the town centre.
A Wallingford map poster brings together an old New England main street, a river valley and modern highways in one drawing. Beyond the centre, neighbourhoods such as Yalesville spread along the river, and reservoirs and woodland cover parts of the outlying land. The mix of dense streets and open space works well in black and white, in a home office or a dorm room.

Main Street district
A long, straight street through the centre carries the town's oldest houses and churches. It forms a clear axis for the rest of the street pattern.
Choate campus
The grounds of Choate Rosemary Hall make a large area of buildings, paths and fields near the centre, easy to pick out from the surrounding residential blocks.

为什么选 Wallingford
一张有意义的地图
Choate alumni, families who have lived in Wallingford for generations, and newcomers who bought their first house here all have reasons to hang this map. It records the street where you lived or the route you walked to class.
Personalise the title and subtitle with a class year, a family name or a street, and keep or edit the coordinates line. Five styles are on offer: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand, in sizes up to 24×36″.
