关于地图
Windsor Map Poster & Print
Windsor, founded in 1633, is often described as the oldest English town in Connecticut. It lies on the west bank of the Connecticut River just north of Hartford, and the Farmington River flows through it to meet the larger river. On a map these two waterways give the town its basic geometry.
The historic centre grew near the confluence around Palisado Green, and older roads still follow the river's direction. Farther west, suburban streets curve through residential neighbourhoods, while broad fields, many once used for shade-grown tobacco, remain in the town's northern and western parts. Bradley International Airport lies just to the north.
A Windsor map poster reflects a New England town shaped by rivers and farmland: the wide Connecticut along the east, the Farmington cutting across, an older core near the water, and a looser pattern of roads and fields beyond. It is a restrained composition with a long story behind it.

Palisado Green
The historic green near the rivers marks Windsor's early settlement, and the roads around it keep the scale and direction of the colonial town.
Tobacco country
Open fields across the town, part of the Connecticut Valley's shade tobacco tradition, appear as broad empty spaces between residential areas.
