关于地图
Yelan’ Map Poster & Print
Yelan’ is a district centre in the north of Volgograd Oblast, in southern Russia, set in open steppe and farmland. The map shows the kind of layout common to Russian provincial towns. Long straight streets are lined with low houses and garden plots, a central area holds public buildings, and a railway line passes by with its station.
A small river valley runs near the town, and its winding line and scattered ponds add softer shapes to an otherwise geometric plan. Beyond the last streets the land opens into wide rectangular fields. In black and white this makes a strong contrast between the settled grid and the empty space around it.
A Yelan’ map poster is meant for people who grew up in the town or spent summers with relatives there, and for those who have since moved to Volgograd, Moscow or abroad. It records the long streets and garden rows that shape life in the district.

为什么选 Yelan’
一张有意义的地图
Small Russian towns rarely appear on anything people can buy, yet they are what many families remember most clearly. This poster puts Yelan’ on the wall as it really is, street by street.
Write your own title and subtitle, for example a family surname and a year, and adjust the coordinates line. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Sand suits the steppe landscape.
